"as well as" 结构的中文翻译，必须根据极性（肯定/否定）和状态（是否连接）严格选择以下策略，以实现零歧义与最小认知负荷：
连接状态下：
主句肯定，从句翻译为：以及（and）。
主句否定，从句翻译为：相反（but）
断开状态下：大通证券
主句之前、主语对比，分句翻译为：不仅仅...还（也）。
主句之后，有提示语，分句翻译为：不仅仅。
主句之后，无提示语，分句翻译为：此外，还。
五种翻译面对六种情况。

原理
连接状态下：
as well +as=像....一样也，是方式状语从句的引导词，也是语义连接的逻辑标记。在语义上引导的从句是附加语，在语用上引导的从句是对主句谓语动词的限制。
从信息排序看，比较项属于新信息，置后比较。比如：
6.The new phone is faster as well as more powerful than the old one.
新手机比旧手机运行速度更快以及性能更强。
还原省略： The new phone is faster as well as (the new phone ismore powerful) than the old one.
新手机像更强大一样也更快。
7.I don’t like horror movies as well as action movies.我不喜欢恐怖片相反我喜欢动作片。
还原省略：
I don’t like horror movies as well as（I like action movies）.
我不像喜欢动作片一样也喜欢恐怖片大通证券。
断开状态下：
as well +as=像....一样，也。是从属连词分句的引导词，是平行结构列举项的逻辑标记，同时也关闭了开放式列举。分句在语义上是解释、说明，在语用上是对主句的信息铺垫、信息追加。
从属连词分句是被断开的状语从句。两者结构一样，但语法地位不同：分句层级高于成分（从句）层级，另外在语用功能方面也完全不同。
从信息排序看，比较项分句在主句前时，为主句铺垫信息，是旧信息。鉴于前面没有比较对象或者内容，只能朝后找比较对象或者内容。比如：
8.1.As well as studying literature, he has a keen interest in philosophy.不仅仅学习文学，他还对哲学方面有着浓厚的兴趣。
还原省略：
As well as（he has a keen interest in studying literature）, he has a keen interest in philosophy.
像他对文学有着浓厚兴趣一样，...还...。
8.2.Tom and his friends, as well as Mary, enjoy playing football.不仅仅玛丽，汤姆和他的朋友们也喜欢踢足球。
还原省略：Tom and his friends, as well as Mary（enjoy playing football）, enjoy playing football.
像玛丽喜欢踢足球一样，也。
从信息排序看，比较项分句在主句后时，为主句追加信息，是新信息。
主句有标记提示的，新信息用于解释；无标记提示的，新信息用于说明。比如：
9.1.As time went by, computers became smaller and more powerful, and they became "personal" too, as well asinstitutional, with display becoming sharper and storage capacity increasing.随着时间推移，计算机变得越来越小，性能越来越强劲。而且随着画面显示越来越清晰，存储容量越来越大，计算机也变得越来越“个人化”，不仅仅为机构所用。
还原省略：
they became "personal" too, as well as（they became） institutional,
像它们变成是机构的一样。
